Passion with a Purpose

Many of you know I have a passion for Christ…and, a passion for Africa.  I recently was blessed to take a trip to Kenya, Africa in November, 2007 through North Point Community Church.  Our biggest mission was to be an encouragement for the Pastor’s of the Glory Outreach Assembly (along with doing food distribution and organizing medical outreach).  Little did we know that these people who had so little, would be thrown into a world of further chaos with the (at that time) up-coming elections.

Through that trip and seeing what God was doing in Kenya through the GOA, and at a little orphange called the Havilla House, God has instilled in me to really sow into Kenya (and Africa, not just Kenya) further.  Through the principle found in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, “Remember this, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” I have come to fully realize what sowing and reaping is.  Pouring into your passion, you receive so much more in return.  The joy of helping others and seeing lives affected by what we do is completely overwhelming to me.

All of this to say…that through J9 Photography, I am sowing into Africa.  Sowing my time, my talent and most definitely dollars.  I wanted you all to be aware of how you are helping the people of Kenya, the Pastor’s of the Glory Outreach Assembly, and the children at Havilla House.  Thank you for working with me to help others!
