April Dates for Georgia Shoots…

I have two more open dates for shoots in April.  April 17th and April 19th.  As always, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis.  LOVE seeing all the kiddos I’ve photographed as infants and how much they have grown over the years.  This will be my last shoots until this fall in Georgia.  Thank you my Georgia friends!!!

Cabin Fever…or is it SPRING fever???

Heck, whatever it is, I think I have it.  Maybe it’s being cooped up in a snow-blown home for about 2 weeks that’s doing it to us all.  Spring, beautiful spring, where ARE you?  I think I’m going nuts.  What better time to announce a special than when I’m completely crazy???

For every person who books a New Beginnings Collection (for those of you unfamiliar with my fabulous wording…this means the maternity/newborn sessions) from now until the last bit of snow in my yard melts…gets a complimentary 1 year portrait session to celebrate the beginning of life.  Who knows how long this snow will last…so ya better hurry up.  It doesn’t mean your session has to be held during this time,  just that it’s “on the books”.

Portrait Parties in Winchester

Wooo-Hooo party on girls!  Portrait Parties are a wonderful way for playgroups, friends and moms to have a party, enjoy themselves and have FABULOUS portraits done of their children…ALL at the same time!  There are NO session fees, hostess’ can earn portraits of their children and special party pricing that is ONLY available for Portrait Party guests are just a few of the wonderful attributes of a Portrait Party.  Here’s the big catch…there are only a few Portrait Party dates available for February and March.  Call (or email) Jeannine and reserve your party date today 770-330-4958 or j9photography@bellsouth.net .

P.S.  I couldn’t resist…I had to pull this one from my archives instead of putting up a newer one…I needed a good smile today.  Hope it brings one to your face as well!

Peace…

I wonder…was the Bible talking about Peace and Goodwill toward men what happens the first day back to school after Christmas break?  There is TONS of peace (peace and too much quiet, LOL!).  Those who know me well know that I may complain about chaos, but I also thrive in it.  Busy season has come and gone and we all made it through.  My parents were here with us for a full 2 weeks.  And, we all completely enjoyed it.

My prayer for you in 2010 is that you look up.  Look up and find what God has in store for you!  It’s an exciting time.  Blessings to you all in 2010!

Princess {Atlanta Children’s Photographer}

I fell in love a couple of years ago…with this family!  Have I mentioned I have the GREATEST job in the world?  I’ve know this little one since she came into the world.  She is absolutely adorable and SMART as a whip!  It’s so fun to watch her.  And, one of the things I love MOST about doing her portraits is watching the absolute adoration that her parents have for her.  During our shoot, we had “tea” together…in a most unusual way.  Gecko tea anyone?  Tell her I thought it was DELICIOUS (and a little squirmy to boot).

Miracle Child {Atlanta Children’s Photographer}

I’ve known this little boy before he was EVEN a sparkle in his daddy’s eyes!  His mom and I worked hard together on something called WIT (Women in Technology).  We ran an AWESOME auction…ok, I digress.  I’ve attached an old picture I did of him in 2007 so you can see JUST how much he has grown.  What makes him a miracle you ask?  This little one was born WAY before he was supposed to.  I don’t remember the exact number, but I’m thinking it was around 27 weeks gestation?  He spent many months in the hospital and has had multiple surgeries.  His parents are amazing.  So loving, always his advocate and voice.  He is such an angel and I feel SOOOOO priviledged to be able to capture his growth year after year.  Thank you!!!

Newborn In Atlanta

This mommy is one of my BEST friends and we got to celebrate the birth of her sweet little one while I was back in Georgia this week.  I only had a short time to take some portraits of little “SK”, and she decided to not sleep for us.  But, that’s ok.  Go with the flow.

What I love most about the portrait of mom and baby is that it is REAL!  If you know this wonderful friend of mine, you would think she’s from a storybook.  She’s a stay at home mom with now 3 kids.  The older two are in 4th grade and Kindergarten.  She homeschools them booth, works as a nurse for an awesome Christian organization in downtown Atlanta once a week, and has a newborn to boot!  She always looks fabulous…and in this portrait she doesn’t have a lick of make-up on.  She will probably kill me for putting this portriat up here, LOL!  But, I love it, she just radiates the love she feels for this little one!  The beauty of this portrait brings tears to my eyes, and I hope you all enjoy it just as much as I do.

Absolute PERFECTION! [Washington D.C. Newborn Photographer]

When the parents of this little girl told me she was perfect…they were SPOT on!  She slept like an angel the WHOLE shoot.  That happens so rarely (along with me NOT getting pooped on…which is a total miracle in of itself) that I just had to tell EVERYONE!  It was also very hard for me to choose just three “sneak peeks”, as the whole shoot was fantastic.

Gotta tell you the story behind the pink blanket she is wrapped in.  It was her mom’s blanket as a little girl, and you could tell it had been well “loved” over the years.  How neat to have something like this to pass down to your child.  I think we managed to make the blanket look pretty good.  Then again, I think this little one would have looked adorable in a wet paper bag!

It really was such a pleasure working with them.  I can’t wait to see how she matures (and grows lovely inside and out) over the years.  Congratulations, she’s a COMPLETE blessing!

In Atlanta for sessions in October…

I will be in Atlanta for a limited time, October 20th and 21st.  If you wish to schedule a session during that time, please contact me ASAP, as the spots are already filling up (can you believe that?  It’s nice to be loved in multiple states).
